Principal

Mr. Poleto is a 2004 graduate of Bucktail High School and a lifelong advocate for public education. He earned his bachelor’s degree in Spanish Education and his master’s degree in Curriculum and Instruction from Lock Haven University before completing his principal certification through Edinboro University.

Before entering school administration, Mr. Poleto taught Spanish for nine years at Clearfield Area Junior-Senior High School. He later served as Assistant Principal at Jackson Primary School before returning to his home region to serve the students, families, and communities of Keystone Central School District.

Currently, Mr. Poleto serves as Principal of Bucktail Middle/High School and Renovo Elementary School, providing leadership for students in grades K–12. In addition to his building leadership responsibilities, he serves as Athletic Director for Bucktail. His work focuses on creating positive school cultures, supporting high-quality instruction, and using data-driven practices to improve student achievement and opportunity.

Mr. Poleto believes that strong schools are built through collaboration, mutual respect, and a commitment to continuous improvement. He views leadership as a service profession and strives to ensure that every student, staff member, and family feels valued, supported, and empowered to succeed.

A proud father, Mr. Poleto enjoys spending time with his daughter, staying active, and supporting student activities and athletics. He remains committed to helping Bucktail students develop the knowledge, character, and confidence needed to be successful in school and beyond.
