DISMISSING EARLY:
If your student needs to be dismissed early from class, have him/her bring a signed note to the Office prior to the start of the school day. This will help to reduce disruptions into the classroom. Students who leave the building without following the above procedure may not be marked "excused".
In the event that a student becomes ill at school and needs to go home, he or she must either:
- Report to the Nurses Office. The nurse will phone a parent/guardian and obtain permission.
- Have a parent/guardian pick up their student, or if a student driver, grant permission to drive home.
If you do not provide this information, your student may be marked "Unlawful".

Attendance Arrive Late/ Leave Early Times
YES, IF YOU ARE LATE, YOU NEED AN EXCUSE!
What Are the Attendance Rules?
Students are permitted 10 excused absences (outlined in the student handbook) verified by a parent note/email per school year. This includes sick days (verified by a parent note/email) and educational trips.
The parent note/email must be received within 3 school days of the student’s return to school. This is State Law and we have the duty to enforce that law.
After the 10 parent note excuses, a letter will be sent home requiring all future absences to be verified by a doctor’s note.
Parents will be sent letters notifying them when their child has 3 or more unlawful absences. After the 3rd unlawful absence a School Attendance Improvement Plan will be developed by a team consisting of certain school staff members, your child and you to develop actions to improve attendance. Upon accumulating 10 unlawful absences, a prosecution may be filed before the Magisterial District Judge.
